ANGELES City – The rising of big and luxurious hotels and condominiums in the central district of this city goes along with the reported widespread operation of prostitution and multi-million dollar cybersex by foreign businessmen.

For the past several years, huge hotels and condos mushroomed in every part of Bgy. Balibago, now considered as the center of businesses in the metropolis.

Apart from owning a number of disco houses and night clubs in the city's red light district, foreign businessmen also owned hotels and condos along with their Filipino counterparts in order to operate their businesses legally.

If you are looking for a "sex" hotel, then you found the right place in Angeles City.  Cybersex prostitution is also offered in the hotel and hotel staffs treat ladies as prostitutes of a staying foreigner who don't give them fair treatment.

Despite the fact that prostitution is illegal, in Angeles, not one person has been convicted of this
crime.  For decades, prostitution at the city's red light district is done through "barfines", a fee paid by customers to take home a bar girl early of her time work.

Barfine is a term associated with prostitution and politically called in the Philippines as "early work release," it is technically illegal.

Women working in the bars have to be registered and are required to undergo frequent health checks.  Recently, the Angeles City government has announced measure to battle child prostitution and sex tourist image in the city.

Bar girls have to be at least 18 years old and are issued identification tags as guest relations officers (GROs).

Some 100,000 girls work as prostitutes in Angeles City and the flesh trade is reportedly controlled by foreign gangs who rake in millions.
